Activities in the Three Valleys

If you fancy a day away from the slopes or are looking for something a little different then there is plenty on offer...

Dog sleigh outings

A dog sleigh outing can be taken from St Martin and is a fantastic trip for children. You can opt for a 30min trip or 1hr which costs 36 euros (child) and 52 euros (adult)

Snow shoe outings

If you want to take in the mountains at a slower pace then qualified instructors are available to take you on cross country shoe outings. The price includes guiding with a qualified instructor with snow shoe hire and costs from 27 euros for an afternoon.

Swimming & spa

There is a fantastic indoor swimming pool at Les Menuires which is a 10 min drive from St Martin or a 30 min ski. It only costs 10 euros for as long as you need and there is a large pool with children’s section, a lovely relaxation area with jacuzzi’s, sauna and steam room. So, if you think your muscles will need a rest then bring your trunks!

Children's indoor funpark

At Les Menuires there is also a children’s indoor soft play area for children under 12 years which costs just 7 euros per hour. It’s a great area for kids to play when the weather is a bit chilly outside.

Parapente

If you are fairly competent on skis/board and fancy taking to the skies there are several local parapente areas and when the weather is good you can be in the air for around 20mins just taking in the views – we’ve tried it and it's absolutely fantastic! It costs from around 60 euros.

Sledging

There are two local sledging tracks in Les Menuires and Val Thorens. Our favourite track for a GMC time trial is at Val Thorens - a 5km long descent from 3000m! Children under the age of 10 years must be accompanied by an adult. It costs from around 12 euros and is well worth the money.

Skidoo

For those of you who fancy zipping around the slopes in the dark, then night skidooing is for you. It’s pricey at 50 euros for half an hour.
